On July 24, 2004 Polaris took over the expansive Minnesota State Fairgrounds, located in St. Paul, for a day of gearhead, fossil fuel burning party making. Polaris claims 25,000 came through the gates and we wouldn’t disagree.
In anticipation of huge crowds the Polaris ATV division prepared for 10,000 test rides on everything from the new Sportsman 800 to Ranger All-Terrain Trucks to kid’s sized mini-ATVs. The demo-area was quite simply, incredible.
Entertainment was abundant with entertainment from John Fogerty, .38 Special and Minnesota heart throb, Johnny Lang. The legendary Polaris Thrill Show was re-born for a day and featured original looper Roger Dick, celebrating his 60th birthday, riding a vintage Polaris Mustang through the giant inverted donut.
The enormous crowds who witnessed this piece of snowmobile thrill show history were, quite frankly, electrified. The Vintage snowmobile display was, in our opinion, unequaled by anything we’ve seen anywhere.
Polaris absolutely outclassed everyone with this event and our helmets are off to them for showing genuine appreciation to the legion of customers who own Polaris snowmobiles, Polaris ATVs, watercraft and Victory motorcycles. Well done Polaris and happy birthday!
