There is no doubt that fall in Muskoka is stunning. The trees are turning and there is a chill in the air.
We look forward to the snow that will protect the forest floor so we can again enjoy Happy Wanderers trails.
The purchase of permits on or before December 1 will save you $50.00 per permit. We would like to thank all of you who use our trails and support Happy Wanderers and Baysville when you purchase your trail passes.
Lake of Bays has a few new businesses that you should visit including the Bearfoot Gourmet and Rafters of Muskoka. You’re welcome to stop there for a light lunch and have a look at some of their unique gift and furniture ideas. Miss Nelles will have the usual hearty fare over weekends with limited week day hours.
You can always count on good food at the Firey Grill in Dorset. Baysville Marina will continue snowmobile rentals. You can stop at Country Charm and fuel up, and we have new a list of accommodations including a house in Baysville that will be rented out by the week starting January 1, 2009, call for more details to 705-646-8919.
You may not know that the Lincoln Lodge “best place to eat by a damn site” burned to the ground in early September, so the Wendigo Bar and Grill is no longer an option.
The owners of the Lincoln are hoping to rebuild, so there will be even more good food options for next year. We will try to keep you informed as building progresses.
The Kelly Shire Snow Run Fundraiser for Breast Cancer research will take place from February 6th to 8th leaving from Deerhurst Resort, and they are asking people to sign up to participate very soon.
And don’t forget Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday in 2009; what could be better than a romantic snowmobiling vacation in Muskoka on Happy Wanderers trails?
If you need information on where to stay, or visit in Lake of Bays, feel free to give us a call at home at 705-646-8919, or email us at danwaters92@gmail.com
See you on the trails.
